Don’t know if I’m reaching out to the right people but since your name is on the mural in question, I’m trying here first. I grew up in Mt. Oliver and still shop and dine there although I live in Squirrel Hill. I definitely still have an emotional attachment to the Boro and want to see it thrive again. It makes me sad to see the mural near the top of 18th St. fall into such disrepair. I have no idea how much it would take to restore it but I would like to contribute to, or even fund the entire renovation depending on the cost. Even though this block is still technically the South Side, I have always regarded it as the entrance to Mt. Oliver and would love to see it ‘spruced up’. If you can guide me to the proper groups to address this to, I would greatly appreciate it.
