  • June 10 Meeting – County Council Members Fitzgerald and Green

    Join us on Tuesday June 10 for our general meeting where we will welcome Allegheny County Council President Rich Fitzgerald and council member Amanda Green.

    They will talk to us about recent county issues including the proposed city-county merger, the drink tax, property taxes, and county development.

  • Next Meeting – May 13 2008

    Join us for our next general meeting on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7:00.  Dina Klavon of Klavon Design Associates will be here to present the preliminary findings of their study on ways to improve the look and safety of the 18th street corridor.   The meeting will be in the main Lounge of St Paul’s Retreat Center.

  • StepTrek Set for October 5, 2008

  • Neighborhood Cleanup – March 29, 9:00 AM

  • Next Meeting – March 11, 7:00 PM

    The next meeting of the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association will be at 7:00 on Tuesday, March 11, 2007 in the main lounge of St Paul’s retreat center, 148 Monastery Ave.  We will be meeting with Klavon Design Associates, a landscape architecture firm that will guide the community through a design process aimed at improving the street scape of the 18th street corridor. 

     In addition, Duquesne University students will be presenting a mapping/signage project that they will be undertaking in the South Side Park.

  • Next Meeting – February 12, 7:00 PM

    Join us for our February general meeting on the 12th and 7:00 PM at St Paul’s retreat center main lounge.  Our new City of Pittsburgh Councilman  Bruce Kraus will be there to speak to us about his plans and to answer questions.

  • Next Meeting January 8th at 7:00 PM

    Come Join us  for our first meeting of 2008 on January 8th at 7 PM at St Paul’s Retreat Center – Main Lounge.  Our Guest Speaker will be Pat Ford who is the executive director of the Urban redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittsburgh.  He will be speaking about the URA and neighborhood redevelopment.

  • December Christmas Party – 12/11 at 7:00 PM

    Come celebrate the holidays with your neighbors on the slopes with our annual Christmas Dinner Party.  The party starts at 7:00 PM at St Paul’s Retreat center.  Feel free to bring a friend or neighbor.

    Food is provided, but feel free to bring something to share if you would like.

  • StepTrek 2 for 1 Registration Extended

    Please take advantage of our online 2 for $15 registration until Midnight 10/12.  Due to a late mailing and an error on the website, the 2 for $15 was prematurely closed.  The error has been fixed and it has resumed effective now, 10/8.  If you plan to mail a reigtration, we will continue to honor the 2 for $15, but we have to receive it ASAP.  It has to arrive pre-Trek which is by the 10/13 mail delivery.  Thanks and we will see you at the Trek!!
