South Side Slopes Summer Picnic
Everyone is welcome to our annual summer picnic. The association will be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. Please bring a side dish, dessert, or beverage. Hope to see you there! StepTrek Cleanup
This Saturday August 16, join us for a StepTrek Cleanup. We will meet in South Side Park under the Mission Street Bridge starting at 10AM, then start walking. Students from CMU will be joining us to help with the cleanup.

Church Route Cleanup
As part of the Pro Walk Pro Bike Conference in Pittsburgh, the Slopes Association will be leading a walk on the Church Route. Let's clean it up and make it look great for our visitors! We will also be weeding the Greeley Street Garden (at Greeley St and Josephine St). Meet at the 18th Street Bend Garden (at the base of the 18th Street Stairs) at 10AM. Join us for the final volunteer day at the old Knoxville Incline Overlook & Trail along Brosville Street. Projects Include: * Priming and Painting the old bridge * Finishing the gravel trail from the bridge to Brosville Street * Cementing benches in place in the meadow area * Mulching and small plantings in the area This event is in collaboration with GTECH Strategies ReClaim South Program. http://gtechstrategies.org/projects/reclaim-south-ambassador-project-knoxville-incline-historic-site/ GTECH will be supplying all the tools. StepTrek 2014
In its 14th year, the Pittsburgh StepTrek will begin Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11AM at South Side Park (Josephine & 21st Streets) on the South Side. Dirty Dozen Viewing
Join the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association to cheer on the Dirty Dozen riders bicycling up Eleanor Street on Saturday November 29. We will be cheering at the Eleanor Street Park from 3:30PM to 5:30PM with hot coffee. Bring a mug! If you're not familiar the Dirty Dozen is a bicycle race up Pittsburgh's 13 toughest hills.
