Come hang out with your fellow neighbors in a more casual setting while supporting a local establishment. If you haven’t been there yet, UUBU 6 is in the heart of the South Side Slopes and has reasonable drinks and food. Stop by and meet some new neighbors or reconnect with old friends on Tuesday, May 6.
Join South Side Slopes volunteers in the planting of this year’s gardens. We will start at the Greeley & Josephine garden, then move to the Barry & Josephine garden. We could really use your help. The more, the merrier!
Gloves and tools will be provided, but if you have your own favorites, you can bring them.
Email Beverly Boggio or sign up on our Facebook page to let us know you’ll be there!
Explore the unique residences and buildings that make up the historic South Side neighborhood on this self-guided walking tour. These homes tell a story not just through their unique architectural features but also the personal collections of art, family heirlooms, memorabilia, and travel treasures housed within.

South Side Green Infrastructure Charrette is a unique design and visioning event, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Green Infrastructure Network (GIN). The event will bring together the region’s most creative design and environmental professionals to design a green link along 21st St, a 12-block corridor that connects South Side Park to the Three Rivers Heritage Trail along the Mon. The goal of the charrette is to create a demonstration district of green infrastructure and green street strategies that can reliably remove stormwater from the region’s overburdened sewer system, improve transportation corridors for all us- ers, and serve as a template for green streets and community green space in Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
There will be a public presentation of the designs on Saturday, April 12th at the Brew House Association followed by a social.
More information on the charrette is available here: http://www.southsidegreen.com/
