Come Join us for our May meeting where our guest speaker will be City of Pittsburgh Councilman Bruce Kraus. The meeting is at 148 Monastery Avenue.

Our April general meeting meeting will focus on Spring with guest speakers Arthur Demeo from the Western PA Conservancy and Lisa Ceoffe, Urban Forester, City of Pittsburgh.  Aurthur and Lisa will be talking with us about gardening plans, street trees and their organizations’ efforts to keep the city green.  Please plan to join us and consider inviting a neighbor to come with you - new neighbors are always welcome. Join us on March 10th for our monthly meeting.  Chief McCaughan, City of Pittsburgh, EMS along with representatives from the Fire Bureau and Animal Control will speak to us about public safety and answer any questions.

The meeting starts at 7:00 PM in the main lounge of St Paul’s Retreat Center, 148 Monastery Ave.

Please Join us for the SSSNA Christmas Party on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 7:00 PM at St Paul’s Retreat Center main dining room.  Dinner will be provided.  If you would like, you are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share.  Also, this year, we are asking everyone to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Brashear Association Food Pantry.

Fr. Don Ware, C.P. invites our Slopes neighbors to a Christmas Carol Service
on Sunday evening, December 14th, from 7:00 – 8:00 PM.
“Carols from Many Lands” is the theme of the evening and will include brief introductions
and Christmas Carols from other cultures.
Refreshments will follow at 8:00 PM.

Join us on November 18th for our November general meeting.  Our guest speaker with be Zone 3 Police Commander Catherine McNeilly.  We will have the opportunity to meet Commander McNeilly, share concerns, and learn how we can make the slopes a safer community. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Main Lounge of St Paul’s retreat center, 148 Monastery Avenue.

Join us on Tuesday, October 7, at 7:00 PM at St Paul’s retreat center for our October General Meeting.  We will be holding board elections, speaking with Skelly and Loy regarding the South Side Park study, and planning for 2009.
