  • Slopes Cleanup Saturday – 7/26 at 9:00 AM

    Come Join us Saturday 7/26 at 9:00 AM at the parking lot at 18th and Carson for a Slopes Cleanup.   Teams will disperse into the slopes from there.  Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

  • Summer Picnic – July 8 – 7:00 PM

    Join us for our annual summer picnic on Tuesday, July 8 at 7:00 at St Paul’s retreat center – main dining room.  We will provide the main dishes – free to bring a dish or dessert to share, but its definitely not required. 

    Also, Fr Don will be leading a tour of the Monastery Gardens for those who are interested.

  • June 10 Meeting – County Council Members Fitzgerald and Green

    Join us on Tuesday June 10 for our general meeting where we will welcome Allegheny County Council President Rich Fitzgerald and council member Amanda Green.

    They will talk to us about recent county issues including the proposed city-county merger, the drink tax, property taxes, and county development.

  • Next Meeting – March 11, 7:00 PM

    The next meeting of the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association will be at 7:00 on Tuesday, March 11, 2007 in the main lounge of St Paul’s retreat center, 148 Monastery Ave.  We will be meeting with Klavon Design Associates, a landscape architecture firm that will guide the community through a design process aimed at improving the street scape of the 18th street corridor. 

     In addition, Duquesne University students will be presenting a mapping/signage project that they will be undertaking in the South Side Park.
