All South Side Slopes residents are invited to attend. Join us to meet new people or reconnect with long-time neighbors, learn what is happening and planned for the community, and share your ideas, concerns and love for the Slopes.
In order to be a voting member of the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association, you must attend at least 2 meetings and/or events per year.
Join the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association (SSSNA) and your neighbors and friends for our annual holiday party on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021 at 6 p.m. We will be celebrating at The Zenith at 86 S. 26th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Food will be provided by the SSSNA, with both meat and vegetarian options available. Please bring your own adult beverage to drink or share. Street parking is available.
We look forward to celebrating with you, but recognize that it will be difficult to socially distance within Zenith. We ask that if you are able to be vaccinated, please do so before joining. Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.
Have extra this holiday season? We will be collecting toys for Brashear’s annual toy drive. Bring a new unwrapped gift or toy for children up to age 12 to the party.

What: LaQuatra Bonci Associates has completed the engineering and design of the ADA Trail proposed to run near the Bandi Schaum Community Garden

In an effort to promote Slopes unity this holiday season and show off our neighborhood, The South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a Light the Night Holiday Decorating Contest.
All Slopes neighbors are encouraged to decorate your house or apartment – focusing on the city-facing façade. Imagine how fantastic the Slopes will look from town if everyone puts a string or two of lights on their home.
Categories will be awarded for the Most Beautiful and the Most Visible from the across the river. Please share your photos with us by emailing info@southsideslopes.org
Judging will occur the week of December 20th and winners will receive a $100 gift card to a local South Side restaurant.
The 2022 South Side Slopes calendar is filled with beautiful pictures from your neighbors. Calendars are available for pick-up now in time for the holiday season. You can pick up calendars you ordered online at Hilltop Coffee (2400 Arlington Ave).
Choose your favorite photo from three of the best submissions from our talented neighbors. Votes must be entered by Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The winning image will be featured on the cover of the upcoming 2022 South Side Slopes calendar. Printed calendars will be available for sale soon – just in time for the holiday gift season!
Join the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association to cheer on the 38th Dirty Dozen. Bicyclists will ride up Eleanor Street on Saturday October 23, 2021. We will be cheering at 2410 Cobden Street from 2:00PM to 4:00PM with hot coffee and hot cocoa to drink and serve to the riders. If you’re not familiar, the Dirty Dozen is a bicycle race up Pittsburgh’s 13 toughest hills. Welsh Way is hill #11, and Eleanor Street is hill #12.
